Masashi Wakui is an anonymous photographer who takes pictures of Tokyo at night. he fascinates me because I am a sort of person who loves night in cities, as the light in cities keep everything nice and bright, and more color can be seen in the cities at night time, giving it a clean, cool look. I do think that Japan is a very beautiful place both daytime and nightime, but Japan being so vibrant and full of color during the night is amazing.

Here I have a slideshow of Masashi Wakui's work, and some images that I took in Birmingham. I like it :) (Lets call Masashi Mr M, his name is annoying to type up everytime) Mr M takes his images really well, he makes sure that all the light in his images are very well presented, or they are clearly visible, the light from a certain spot lights up quite a bit of an area. Mr M does not do quite a wide depth of field, he most of the time just uses a street view, or no more than a main road view, which is just a right and proportional image. The images on the bottom are photos that have been inspired by Mr M's work, and yes, they have been photoshopped by me. There are literally leading lines everywhere in Mr M's work. |
